The “HP Smart” Windows 10 app also doesn’t detect the scanner. No great surprise – this installer fails to detect the printer, let alone the scanner. The HP site links to the positively ancient product install here – The Microsoft support articles are junk… “Windows will automatically find your devices” – with no assistance on what to do if Windows doesn’t find your device. The printer is detected and installs fine on Windows 10, the scanner however is not detected. I still have an older MFP – the HP CM1312nfi
